As I made Daddy's dinner tonight, you thought the sizzling pork chop was hilarious. So much so that you were hardly able to catch your breath. I don't really care for cooking. But that was just fun.
This is my letter to you beginning the day you were born. You are the bravest little girl, and I thought one day you would appreciate knowing how your life started out and how much you were loved through it all. I don't want you to ever doubt that if we could have picked any child, we would have picked you.
These are what I would consider to be "our songs". And this is why...
1)"Fingerprints" by Steven Curtis Chapman--I have always loved this one and it is my favorite song for you. It makes me cry.
2) "Be Still" by Storyside:B--This song came out around the time you were born. I had many of those "face down upon the floor" moments in those days.
3) "Letting Go" by Francesca Battistelli--Obviously, this is not what we planned for ourselves. But we have learned to let go of our own dreams and find joy in what God is doing in your life.
4) "Miracle of the Moment" also by Steven Curtis Chapman -- When I found out I was pregnant with you, I cried. Daddy and I had only been married 6 weeks and I wanted to wait awhile longer. As I was sobbing that day, I heard this song for the first time and did as it said. I took a big breath, calmed myself down and realized you were a miracle--and those moments weren't to be missed. When you were born, this song spoke to me on a whole new level. I tear up listening to it now.
I'm sure I will add more as I think of them. I love you Audrey Boo.
